About Us

Launched in Campbelltown, NSW, by our founder Ryan, Koalaty was started with the desire to shake up the sunglasses industry. Whilst sunglasses are nothing new, Ryan noticed that majority of the glasses currently on offer were made from plastic, requiring crude oil in the construction process.

Rather than sit around and wait for a change, we decided we were going to make the eco-friendliest sunglasses we could make, whilst also donating $5 from every pair to Australian conservation efforts. 

With the great outdoors and adventure at the forefront of our minds, we've slowly introduced a range of hats into our range, still with the goal of donating a portion of sales to conservation efforts!

Fast forward a few years, and Koalaty has made it to 6 out of 7 continents (we are coming for you Antarctica)! With over $15,000 raised so far, we really are only just getting started!
